New Shopify : Add SKU, GTIN_EAN or GTIN_UPC, Brand, and MPN Information for Google Shopping

To enhance the visibility and product compliance on Shopify, and display star ratings for product reviews on Google Shopping, it's crucial to include key information such as SKU, GTIN_EAN (for Europe), or GTIN_UPC (for the United States and Canada), brand, and MPN. Follow these steps to add this information to your products.

Requirements

Use our new Shopify app for automatic order retrieval.

Step 1 : Log in to Shopify

Log into your Shopify account.

Step 2 : Accessing Products 

From the dashboard, click on "Products" to access the list of your products.

Step 3 : Selecting a Product

Choose the product to which you want to add SKU, GTIN, brand, and MPN information. If you are adding this information to multiple products, repeat these steps for each product.

Step 4 : Adding Information

SKU: Enter the product's Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) number. This number is typically unique to each product and can be used for inventory tracking.

  • Location of the SKU Field: To find the SKU field, scroll down the editing page to the "Variants" section. Here, you will find a table with different product variants.
  • Adding or Modifying the SKU Field: Inside the variants table, you will see a column labeled "SKU." You can add or modify the SKU number directly in this column.

GTIN_EAN (Europe) or GTIN_UPC (US, Canada): Depending on your region, enter the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), either GTIN_EAN for Europe or GTIN_UPC for the United States and Canada. This code may include formats such as EAN, UPC, or other variations.

  • Location of the GTIN Field: To find the GTIN field, scroll down the editing page to the "Variants" section. Here, you will find a table with different product variants.
  • Adding or Modifying the GTIN Field: In the variants table, look for the "GTIN" column (or its equivalent based on your region). You can add or modify the GTIN directly in this column.

Brand: Enter the product's brand name. This can help quickly identify the product and build customer trust.

  • Location of the Brand Field: To find the "Brand" field, scroll down the editing page to the "Variants" section. Here, you will find a table with different product variants.
  • Adding or Modifying the Brand Field: In the variants table, locate the "Brand" column. You can add or modify the brand directly in this column.

MPN (Manufacturer Part Number): Enter the MPN, which is the manufacturer's part number. This can be a unique identifier for each product.

  • Location of the MPN Field: Scroll down the editing page to the "Variants" section. You will find a table with different product variants.
  • Adding or Modifying the MPN Field: In the variants table, look for the "MPN" column. You can add or modify the MPN directly in this column.

Step 5 : Save the modifications

Once you have added all the necessary information, don't forget to click "Save" to save the modifications made to the product.

The GTIN, SKU, MPN, etc , information will be automatically recollected with the rest of the information linked to consumer orders
