You can enable a review request reminder to reach out to consumers who did not submit a review after the first email, in order to increase your collection rate.
26% of the reviews collected by Verified Reviews are collected thanks to a reminder! This practice is an effective way to increase your review volume. However, for it to be truly optimal, two key factors must be taken into account:
- a timely reminder sending delay to maximize the chances of receiving a response.
- controlled management of the reminder frequency to avoid overwhelming the consumer.
- Only consumers who did not submit a review after the first email will be eligible for a reminder.
- It is not possible to send multiple reminders to the same consumer for the same order!
- If the product review request is delayed, we avoid sending a reminder because the consumer will already receive two requests: one request for a brand review and one request for a product review. As a result, the system already detects that an email is scheduled (for the product), which means that the scheduled reminder will not be sent. (This rule does not apply if you use the FTP method for the automatic retrieval of your orders. Scheduling the product review does not restrict the sending of the reminder.)
- The consumer has 3 months to submit a review after the request is sent by email. After these 3 months, the form is no longer active.
The data displayed only corresponds to orders and review requests intended for Verified Reviews. All data intended for RB Mail is excluded from these metrics.
Procedure
The procedure for enabling and configuring the review request reminder depends on your account version (legacy version or new version).
If your home page displays the following alert, refer to the section dedicated to the legacy version:
✨ New version
From the left-hand sidebar menu, click
Settings, then click Order retrieval
From the Advanced settings tab, you can access the review request reminder
- Enable the toggle
- Choose the delay before the reminder, in number of days
- Click Save in the upper-right corner of your screen
🖥️ Legacy version
Go to
Administration in the left-hand sidebar menu, then click My account
In the Delay before review request reminder section, choose your preferred delay from the drop-down list
Best practices
- Take commercial pressure into account to avoid over-solicitation: include the reminder email in a CRM scenario, just like other marketing emails (newsletters, automated emails, etc.)
- Take product usage into account when planning the reminder email in a relevant customer outreach sequence: the post-purchase/post-experience delay before sending the reminder should be reasonable in order to encourage appropriate customer feedback. The experience rated by the customer should remain “fresh” so that they submit a review consistent with their satisfaction.
- Measure the effectiveness of the reminder email by monitoring changes in the collection rate: adjust the email routing date based on the results to find an optimal reminder sequence
View the list of customers who received the reminder
You can view the list of customers who received the second review request email, as well as the date they received it.
✨ New version
- From the left-hand sidebar menu, click
Collection, then click Review request tracking
- From the Request status filter available on the left side of your screen, select Reminder
🖥️ Legacy version
- From the left-hand sidebar menu, click
Collection, then click Reporting - Review requests
- Click Statistics by filter. The Reminder filter allows you to list the review requests resent during a selected period
- Click Filter in the lower-right corner of the page
- You will then find the review request reminders in the Sent column
The first date in the Sent column corresponds to the date the first email was sent, and the second corresponds to the date the second email was sent.
If the Opened column is empty, this means that the customer did not open the email.
