How does Verified Reviews ensure the authenticity and reliability of reviews?

At Verified Reviews, we are committed to ensuring that every review published reflects a real and useful experience!

As a trusted third party, Verified Reviews collects and publishes reviews in strict compliance with current regulations. ISO 20488:2018 standard, which replaces the previous standards and applies internationally, sets rigorous criteria that we strictly follow to ensure the transparency and impartiality of the reviews. Our practices are audited every year to guarantee this compliance.

We are required to display all consumer reviews, both positive and negative.

Our mission: to provide a trusted space for consumers and brands alike.

To do this, our Content Moderation & Integrity team monitors the reliability and integrity of our platform on a daily basis.

Our Content Moderation & Integrity Team

Beyond the regulatory framework, our Content Moderation & Integrity team plays a key role in ensuring the quality of the reviews published on the platform. The team analyzes each submission and checks its compliance with our Transparency Charter (certified by AFNOR as part of the NF ISO 20488 standard).

Their missions include:

  • ensuring that each review complies with our transparency rules;
  • maintaining a fair balance between freedom of expression and respect for individuals and brands;
  • ensuring that only authentic, relevant, and compliant reviews can be published.

Our team also helps you understand the moderation process, ensuring a clear, reliable, and trustworthy experience for all stakeholders.

What does the team do daily?

Our moderators intervene to:

  • Check reviews before and after publication, following clear rules.
  • Review submitted reports (from consumers and brands).
  • Monitor content automatically and manually to ensure its reliability.
  • Remove or reject any review that does not comply with our rules (offensive language, personal data, advertising content, etc.).

What types of content are not allowed?

A review may be refused or deleted if it contains, for example:

  • Defamatory, offensive, or discriminatory statements.
  • Personal information (addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.).
  • Advertising or promotional content.
  • Information unrelated to the purchase or service experience: irrelevant content.

How to report a review?

You can dispute reviews that do not comply with our transparency charter directly from your Verified Reviews interface: Left side menu Review Management.

Each report is manually reviewed by a moderator to ensure an impartial decision.

See the reporting procedure here.

How do we ensure impartiality?

Our moderators apply the rules neutrally and consistently, based on our Transparency Charter.  Decisions to delete or reject reviews are always explained, and no party is favored.

If a phone conversation is needed, you can request a call with the Moderation team.

To do so, simply open a ticket via the contact icon or from this page, specifying that a call is required for a specific moderation case or a complex review.

For particularly sensitive situations or those requiring in-depth analysis, your case may be escalated to the Compliance team.

Our commitment

  1. Authenticity: all reviews come from real experiences.
  2. Transparency: we explain our decisions in case of refusal or deletion.
  3. Reliability: we continuously work to maintain a trusted space for everyone.
