Zapier and Verified Reviews

Zapier is an automation platform that allows you to connect different applications together without technical development. It automates actions between your tools to save you time and avoid repetitive manual tasks.

The integration of Zapier with Verified Reviews allows you to automate the management of your customer reviews.

For example, you can receive an email notification as soon as a 1-star review is published, automatically create a ticket in your support tool after a negative review, add a satisfied customer to a specific list in your CRM, or centralize all your new reviews in a tracking table.

If you do not yet have a Zapier account, sign up for free and check out here some popular preconfigured Zaps.

How does it work?

Some important concepts:

Zaps

When you connect two or more applications together, you create a new entity called a Zap. A Zap is essentially a template that defines how you want one or more applications to communicate with each other.

Triggers

You must first define an action in one application so that another action occurs afterward. This action is called your trigger action.

You then specify which actions in other applications should be executed once your trigger action has taken place.

Four triggers are available in the Verified Reviews application:

  • New product review: sends new product reviews (including those under moderation).
  • New published product review: sends new product reviews (excluding those under moderation).
  • New site review: sends new site reviews (including those under moderation).
  • New published site review: sends new site reviews (excluding those under moderation).

Actions

An action corresponds to what your Zap executes after a trigger has occurred. A Zap can have only one trigger but can include multiple actions.

There are two types of actions:

  • Application action: using an action available in an application. One action is available in the Verified Reviews application:
  • Create an order: creates a new order.

Search in the application: allows you to search for specific information in an application to use it later.

How to send your e-commerce orders to Verified Reviews

If you want to send your e-commerce orders to Verified Reviews and currently do not have a way to do so, the Verified Reviews app for Zapier can be a suitable solution.

  1. If you haven't already done so, create an account on Zapier
  2. Create a Zap (with line item support) using the dedicated button at the top right of the page
  3. Choose your e-commerce solution among the available applications: select your trigger application
  4. Select the trigger you want to use from the available list.
  5. Make sure the chosen trigger supports line item support. This ensures that all products purchased in an order will be transmitted.

This option is essential: it allows Verified Reviews to receive the complete list of products for each order, whether the order contains one product or several, depending on the number of products purchased by your customer.  Be sure to choose a trigger with line item support - "With line item support"

  6. Log in to your e-commerce solution via the dedicated button: once you click Connect, a pop-up window will appear: then fill in the required information: Username, API Key, API Path.
  7. Once connected to your e-commerce solution application, you will access this screen:
  8. Log in to the Verified Reviews application on Zapier:

  9. Select Create Order - which should be the only available action.
  10. Log in to your Verified Reviews account by clicking the dedicated button:
  11. Select your country (the country of your account, for example France, USA, Spain…), your secret key (Secret Key), and your idWebsite. You will find this information in your Verified Reviews account, in the left sidebar menu mon_compte.png My Account.
  12. Map the order data from the selected application (Big Commerce in our case) to the corresponding fields in the Verified Reviews application:
  13. Then, map the product data contained in the order. Note that, thanks to line item support, you will see the list of products in the order, that is, all the products purchased in this order. In this example, the order contains three products, so you will see three product names:

How to receive your reviews

Use the Verified Reviews application as the trigger application

  1. Four options will be offered to you. Choose the reviews you want to receive:
  2. On the right side of the screen, you can use filters. For example, to send only reviews with a rating higher than 3 if you wish. Otherwise, you can skip this step.
  3. Choose the destination application to which you want to send your reviews.
  4. Log in to the chosen application and map the data coming from Verified Reviews as you wish.

You will then be able to receive the latest reviews on the selected destination website!
