Brand review syndication allows you to share brand reviews from one of your sites (the source site) to one or more other sites within your account (the destination sites).
The syndicated reviews then appear on the certificate and brand widgets of the destination site, accompanied by a label clearly indicating their origin and, if necessary, automatically translated into the language of the destination site. This is especially useful for leveraging an existing pool of reviews across your entire network of sites, whether you are entering a new market or simply looking to strengthen consistency and reassurance among your already active sites.
In its current version, brand review syndication does not yet have a self-service configuration screen. Its activation is handled by our technical team: no action is required on your part in the Back Office.
How does activation work?
- Our technical team identifies the source site (origin of the reviews) and the destination site(s) for your account.
- They create the syndication subscription specifying the source site, the destination site(s), and the target language(s).
- Propagation then occurs automatically at the next brand review processing cycle (approximately every 6 hours).
- The reviews then appear on the certificate and brand widgets of the destination site.
Publication Timelines
- If the source site's reviews are already in the target language, they are published directly (within ~6 hours).
- If a translation is necessary, the review remains pending while being translated, then is published in the next cycle (within ~12 hours).
Publication follows batch processing, not real-time processing: this explains these timelines.
How are syndicated reviews displayed?
On the destination site, each syndicated review is presented transparently:
- a label “Originally published on [source site]” indicates its origin;
- when a translation is displayed, a “Show original text” button allows viewing the review in its original language;
- syndicated reviews are included in the overall rating, just like organic reviews.
Updating or Disabling Syndication
- Target languages: defined for each subscription by our technical team, they can be modified.
- Activation / deactivation: a subscription can be activated or deactivated. Deactivation removes syndicated reviews from the destination site within ~6 hours; the history is preserved.
- There is currently no self-service configuration: all changes go through our technical team. For any requests, please contact your Account Manager.
