What are Rich Snippets or Structured Data?
These are structured data that inform search engines that your product has reviews. This allows search engines to know the number of reviews and the average rating.
Prerequisites
Use PrestaShop for the automatic retrieval of your orders.
Procedure
Step 1: Log in to your Prestashop back-office
Go to the module configuration page, in the Google Rich Snippets section.
Step 2: Enable Rich Snippets
To benefit from this feature, you must select "yes".
- Rich Snippets Format: In Prestashop themes, the default rich snippets format is microdata, however, you have the option to choose the Json-ld format. If your theme already integrates rich snippets, you must select the same format.
- My product page theme already includes Rich Snippets: choose "yes" if your product page already includes the Product tag, we will only integrate the AggregateRating (rating) and Reviews tags. If your product page does not include the Product tag, then choose "no", we will integrate all the necessary tags for Google to detect the product.
Step 3: Verify that the rich snippets have been integrated correctly
Google offers a testing tool to check if a web page is eligible for rich snippets.
Simply enter the URL of a product sheet with reviews. Google returns errors present in the integration of rich snippets or indicates that the page is eligible for rich snippets by providing a preview of the result.
⭐ Important Information!
Our module takes care of adding the AggregateRating and Reviews tags and obtaining an effective preview on Google's test tool, but cannot fully guarantee the display of rich snippets in browser search results, as Google considers many other factors (content quality...)
