⚠ Factors that can disrupt the proper functioning of your account

While the configuration of your account has been correctly completed, internal events within your organization may disrupt its proper functioning. 

We would like to draw your attention to the following key points:

Change of Product References

If your product references are subject to change, it is crucial to update them in your Verified Reviws account.

We use your product references to display your product reviews on your website. If the product references are not updated, reviews collected under the old references will no longer be visible.

To preserve the product reviews you have collected so far, we need to perform a data update to refresh the product references.

Change of URL or Domain Name

A change in URL can impact:

  • The automatic retrieval of your orders, if you use one of our connectors
  • Your Verified Reviews certificate and its referencing

We invite you to contact us in case your website's URL changes.

Change of Automation Method

If you wish to change the method of retrieving your orders, please contact our team so we can assist you with this change.

Are you using one of our connectors?

If you are using one of our connectors, please remain attentive to the following elements!

Use of an older Connector version

To ensure the proper functioning of order retrieval, make sure you are using the latest version of the connector available.

  • To check the version of the connector you are using, go to the "Collect Reviws" menu, then "Configure My Module" and scroll down to the advanced settings at the bottom of the page.
  • To download the latest version, go to the "Collect Reviews" menu, then "E-commerce Module" and click on the "Download" button.

If you have made customizations to your connector, it is essential to back up your file.

If you are using Prestashop or Woocommerce and are experiencing problems displaying product reviews after the update: please contact our team to synchronize your data.

Modification of Server Security Settings

If you have implemented internet traffic filtering tools (e.g., Cloudflare, Cloudfront, etc.) or other advanced security measures on your server, this can impact communication between your CMS and our connector.

Change in Order Statuses

If the order statuses used in your CMS change, it will affect the automatic retrieval of orders. It is necessary to ensure that the statuses used exist in the configuration of your connector.

Update of Your E-commerce Version

If you have updated the version of your e-commerce, the connector file may be overwritten, and the tables containing reviews in your database may be emptied.

For this reason, after updating your e-commerce/CMS version, we strongly recommend checking:

  •  The order retrieval
  •  Display of your reviews: brand widgets, product widgets, carousel widgets.

CMS Migration

To continue enjoying our solution on your new website, follow these steps:

  • Update the e-commerce solution in your Verified Reviews account. To do this, go to the "Account Management" menu, then "My Account" and select "Information"
  • Install the new connector
  • Integrate the widgets on your new site for displaying your reviews
  • Contact our team to verify the connection with the connector and take the necessary steps to update your product references
