Syndication allows you to distribute your customer reviews across your various distributor or partner websites (regardless of language).
In other words, syndication allows you to display your reviews, exactly as they are, on every site where consumers buy your products!
By adopting a syndication strategy, you multiply the power of reviews for even greater visibility and conversions.
Examples of Successful Syndication
- Opening a new market or boosting a region: leverage your existing authentic reviews to gain visibility faster!
- Launching a new product: distribute your tester reviews across all your international and distributor websites from day one!
- Increasing organic traffic to a merchant site: leverage your other sites or partner sites and the power generated by their reviews to boost it.
- Improving your local e-reputation: get it back on track by stimulating it through the syndication of all your product reviews.
How It Works
To efficiently display reviews generated by your consumers on third-party platforms, syndication must be based on a structured process:
With Verified Reviews, you collect reviews from your consumers (ratings, comments, and photos) through post-purchase emails or Gifted Reviews campaigns.
In accordance with the NF ISO 20488 standard and to guarantee reliability, consumer reviews go through a review processing and moderation stage — Learn more.
Warning: syndicated reviews are not moderated.
When you sell your products through multiple distributors, our teams set up a syndication catalog. Verified Reviews automatically links each review to the correct product on each distributor website — even on a very large scale.
Reviews, ratings, and photos are then displayed on the product pages of your distributor partners via the product widget or the Verified Reviews API.
Intra-syndication
Intra-group syndication (or intra-syndication) consists of automatically translating and distributing your customer reviews across your different merchant sites. How? It’s very simple! Identify your priority markets, retrieve all collected reviews, and automatically republish them in the destination language(s) on your product widget, while displaying their source.
Standard Syndication
Standard syndication allows you to reach a broader audience by sharing reviews with external partner sites. You thus boost your visibility and e-reputation by displaying reviews on third-party platforms thanks to a centralized review management system from collection to distribution!

FAQ
The syndication process applies to all reviews available in Avis Vérifiés. As soon as the system detects a product match, all reviews linked to that product are shared between the websites, not just the new reviews collected after the match.
The syndication process is almost immediate once a match is detected. The automatic flow runs 4 times a day (2 a.m., 8 a.m., 2 p.m., 8 p.m.). It may, however, encounter a cache on your site, adding a delay of about ten minutes.
To establish a match between your consumer reviews and your partner or distributor sites, a syndication catalog must be set up - Learn more .
For compliance and transparency reasons, it is not possible to choose specific reviews to syndicate. For example, we cannot syndicate only reviews rated 4 and 5 stars. We syndicate all eligible reviews for the product without any other filter. It is, however, possible not to syndicate your reviews on certain products in your catalog, on a case-by-case basis.
No, syndication does not automatically translate customer reviews. If the language detected in the review does not match the specified original language, no translation will be performed. For example: a review written in French on an English site cannot be translated during syndication to another language. It will therefore remain in French even if the destination site is Spanish.
Google does not consider the duplication of reviews between a brand and an e-commerce site to be a problem. On the contrary, it is a rather beneficial practice: products are visible both on the brand's site and on the retailers' sites. Consumers expect to find reviews everywhere they view the product. With few reviews on a page, the experience is less reassuring and less engaging.
In addition, Google refers to duplicate content when an entire piece of content is identical or very similar across several pages. However, reviews are only part of the product page and are mixed with other content.
Finally, Avis Vérifiés indicates the source of the review when it is syndicated and displayed on another site, so there is no risk of an SEO penalty. To date, Avis Vérifiés has never observed any issue or alert from Google related to review duplication.
Syndication applies to product reviews: organic reviews or gifted reviews (tester reviews), in text or photo format. Reviews about the purchase experience (site or order) are not syndicated.
There is no fixed limit: a review is displayed on all partner sites in the network where the corresponding product is sold. On average, a collected review is shared with 3 retailers.
Matching is based on common product references between the brand and its retailers, using the EAN/GTIN. Each product concerned must therefore have an EAN/GTIN identifier.
Syndication is included in the Avis Vérifiés terms and conditions and activated by default, with the option to opt out. For any request regarding activation or deactivation, contact your Account Manager.
Yes. When a review is syndicated and displayed on another site, its source is always indicated. This ensures transparency and compliance: hiding the origin of a review is considered a misleading practice under consumer law, in France and across Europe.
