At Verified Reviews, we take the protection of personal data very seriously.
After submitting a review through the form, consumers can choose to remain anonymous online by publishing their review using their initials, thanks to a dedicated checkbox on the thank-you page.
This option appears after the statement: Name displayed when the review is published
Here is what this means:
Pseudonymized reviews
If the consumer does not check the box allowing online anonymization on the thank-you page, the name displayed under the review will correspond to the consumer's first name and the first letter of their last name (e.g. Peter E.).
After 18 months, in accordance with our data retention policy implemented to comply with GDPR requirements, the first name and last name will be converted into initials, making the review anonymous online. Example: G. A. for Gautier A.
Anonymous reviews
If the consumer checks the box allowing online anonymization after completing the form: only the initials of the first name and last name will be displayed (e.g. P.E.).
Regardless of the consumer's choice, the review will always be pseudonymized by default. Under no circumstances will the full last name be displayed alongside Verified Reviews.
