How to improve the position of my certificate

Improving the SEO of your certificate page is very important to increase your visibility and appear among the top search engine results.

The certificate page by Verified Reviews is a unique web page for each client company, indexed by Google and other search engines. It transparently gathers all Brand Reviews collected and boosts your company's credibility with the “Verified Reviews” label.

You need to have several published brand reviews for your certificate to be indexed by Google.

Follow our tips below to improve your certificate’s SEO:

Add a redirect to the certificate on your website (backlink)

You should redirect as many visitors as possible to your certificate to increase its traffic.

To do so:

  1. From the left-hand menu Display reviews, click on View my certificate.
  2. Copy the URL.
  3. Use this link on a rich page using structured data (also known as a Rich Snippet — a web page displayed on Google with extra information like reviews, prices, etc.), or a page dedicated to your reviews. You can also add it to the footer of your site to boost visibility!

Don’t forget to embed the brand widget/carousel widget on your website. It’s the easiest way to add a backlink! Consumers will not only see your rating at a glance, but also be redirected to your certificate by clicking on it.

Enrich your business description

It’s essential to work on the description of your certificate. Add relevant keywords related to your business. Search engines like Google will prioritize a rich description!

  1. From the left-hand menu Display reviews, click on Edit my certificate.
  2. Fill in the Description field with information about your business, the type of products or services you offer. Don’t hesitate to use keywords and repeat your brand name to improve SEO.
  3. Click Publish at the top right.

Fill in the category field

To appear in the Verified Reviews directory, you must complete the Category field.

This type of link is perfect for generating backlinks, which are important for SEO.

  1. From the left-hand menu Display reviews, click on Edit my certificate.
  2. Select the category that matches your business.
  3. Click Publish at the top right.

Although the Category field is important and mandatory, keep in mind that all fields of your certificate must be completed for SEO to be effective!

Check the title of your certificate

Make sure that the keywords used in the title of your certificate match those your customers use to search for you on Google! If the title only contains your website URL but your customers search for your brand name without the extension (.fr, .com, etc.), it’s important to update it accordingly.

  1. To do so, from the left-hand menu, go to Display reviews, then Edit my certificate.
  2. In the Public information section, update your title.
  3. Don’t forget to click Publish at the top right of the page.

To choose the right keywords, focus on the terms users actually use to find you: type keywords into Google and check the autocomplete suggestions, review queries in the Google Search Console (if you have access), and prefer natural expressions like “reviews [brand name]” or “customer reviews [site name]”. Then include those keywords in the title and description of your certificate to maximize visibility!

Reply to reviews with quality content

As a general rule, we strongly encourage you to reply to the reviews left by your customers! Since these replies appear on your certificate, it's also a great opportunity to add relevant, quality, and recent content to your certificate — very important for SEO.

In fact, by wisely including relevant keywords in your replies, you also boost your brand’s visibility!

However, avoid mentioning your company name in replies to negative reviews. This prevents those negative comments from ranking first on Google searches.
