You can personalize your review request emails.
Our tests with several clients show that simply adjusting the subject line and the sender of your review request email can increase the response rate by up to 60%.
Personalizing your email can really boost your results and strengthen customer engagement, while offering an experience that's more in line with your brand image!
For now, email personalization is only available for customers using the latest version of review collection. It will gradually become available to all Verified Reviews users.
First Setup
- From the left-hand menu, click on
Collect Reviews then Email Configurator.
- Accept the terms of use presented in the first step.
- Complete the various elements of the general setup (language level, product and sales types, sender's address, etc.).

Then proceed to the Design step and add your logo and colors:
- Don't forget to save!
The text in the emails will then be automatically updated with your preferences: tone, service or product, colors, etc.
We recommend using a logo with a transparent background for better integration and a more professional look!
Customizing different types of email
The initial setup has already automatically updated the text according to your preferences: tone, products, etc.
If you wish, you can also customize the text of each email individually sent to your consumers:
- From the left-hand menu, click on
Collect Reviews then Email Configurator.
- On the email configurator page, you will have access to the various configurable emails:
- Click on the email of your choice to access the different customization elements:
Some types of emails may not be accessible to you if they have already been customized by our team. To customize them yourself, you will need to reset them.
It is legally required to include the date and the order reference of your customer in the review request email. To do this, add personalization variables (see below).
Inserting a personalization variable
You can personalize your email by inserting the customer's name, the order number or date, or the type of purchase.
From text fields such as the subject, introduction, greeting, email body, or conclusion: click on Insert a variable, then on the variable name you wish to insert.
Example: Hello *first name*, following your order on *order date*... etc.
Reset my email types
You can also reset the customizations applied to your email types.
To do this:
- Click on the email type of your choice.
- Click on the part of the email you want to reset: subject, body, action button, or conclusion.
- Click on Reset to default settings:
You can also reset the entire configuration of an email by clicking on the three small dots at the top right of the section (available when hovering over the area):
If you decide to reset your emails to default, the customizations made by our team at your request will also be reset.
Check my customization history
You can check the modification history of your templates via the three small dots at the top right of the screen:
This will allow you to see who made the last modifications.
Our personalization tips
- Include your brand name in your email subject line – Example: [YourBrand] wants to hear from you.
- Include your brand name in the sender name – Example: [Brand] x Verified Reviews.
- Use a custom sending address – Example: yourbrand@feedback.verified-reviews.com
- Use a short, action-oriented CTA button – Example: Give my feedback
