Review request form: best practices for setup

The review request form is a key step in the collection journey: this is the form the consumer will fill out after clicking the call-to-action button in your email. It allows you to gather structured feedback on their experience, through questions related to the brand and, if you have enabled it, your products.

To ensure a good completion rate and actionable feedback, it is essential to take care of its content, appearance, and level of customization.

The consumer has 3 months to fill it out after receiving the email; after this period, the link becomes inactive.

✔ Best Practices

At least ask for a satisfaction rating out of 5 stars, along with a comment about the purchase experience

Product-related questions can be added: you can then build your questionnaire in two parts.

Enrich your form with targeted questions

About product quality, ease of use, in-store experience, etc. — thanks to quality criteria.

Limit the number of questions to 4 or 5 per section

To limit the risk of drop-off! The more questions you add, the more you risk your consumers stopping the form before completing it.

Favor closed questions/answers

To ensure you get the maximum amount of feedback possible.

✘ Mistakes to Avoid

Do not ask sociodemographic questions

These questions have no place in post-purchase forms. They should be asked in broader surveys. For example via Feedback Management.

It is strictly forbidden to prefill the questionnaire on behalf of the customer

The customer must be free to share their experience transparently, without feeling manipulated.

The displayed rating must be unique and should not be subject to multiple average scores

The AFNOR certification we comply with is strict on this point: additional questions in your form will not be included in your overall score. The overall score of a product or brand cannot be recalculated or modified.

Do not remove the Verified Reviews mention

In both collection emails and forms, the Verified Reviews mention must appear. It is strictly forbidden to remove the logo or legal notices related to the collection, moderation, and publication of reviews by the trusted third party.
