Version 10.0.0 of your Prestashop connector is now available in your Verified Reviews account.
Updating your connector between Verified Reviews and Prestashop is essential to ensure the security, compatibility, and optimal performance of your systems.
By ensuring smooth integration and better process automation, you optimize the user experience while reducing potential errors and maintenance costs.
Regular updates are a strategic investment for the long-term success and efficiency of using Verified Reviews.
This update allows you to:
- Benefit from our latest features (new widgets, DSA compatibility, smoother navigation, new simpler interface...) and performance improvements.
- Reduce the risks related to security vulnerabilities and synchronization errors, especially in review collection.
- Benefit from the email review request customization feature.
This update article concerns you only if you are still using the historical collection mode of Verified Reviews :

Version 10.0.0 of the connector is only available for customers using Prestashop versions 1.7 and 8.X.
This process is very simple, follow the guide below:
1. Update the version of the Prestashop connector
- This action will temporarily disable the display of your reviews on your website. If you had implemented any display customizations, they will no longer be applied. Don't worry though, at the end of this process, you can easily integrate our new widgets (modern, efficient, and compliant with the latest standards) and reactivate your reviews with a single click! (Your collection settings will be fully maintaine).
- If you are updating from a pre-production environment, the review collection from your Verified Reviews account will be temporarily suspended until you update your connector on your production site. Orders will then automatically be imported as soon as you update the connector in production (be sure to update without uninstalling the initially installed version).
Now follow the instructions in Step 2 to integrate the new widgets:
2. Integrate the new widget
After the first step, a brand and product widget have been automatically created for you to easily display reviews on your site. You can access them from the Display Reviews tab.
This section allows you to customize your widgets to fit the user experience of your site and activate integration on your Prestashop website.
If your brand widget was already automatically integrated on your website via Prestashop, the new brand widget will also be automatically integrated on your website without any further action needed.
Follow these instructions to integrate the brand and product widget:
For automatic integration to work, your website theme must properly integrate the Prestashop base Hook:
- hookDisplayProductButtons or hookDisplayProductAdditionalInfo for the star block
- hookDisplayProductExtraContent for the review block
- From your Prestashop account, go to the Designs menu, then Positions.
- Search for Verified Reviews in the list of modules.
- Check that hookDisplayProductButtons/ hookDisplayProductAdditionalInfo and hookDisplayProductExtraContent are displayed and that the connector appears in the list of linked modules.
